FAQ

Please find below a list of frequently asked questions and their corresponding answers:

Q: What if any are your green credentials?

A: We always give our clients the opportunity to choose production services that have themselves green accreditation. For example, for any print request, at least one quote provided by Rocket Science will be from an FSC Accredited supplier. It may not be the cheapest as green activity inevitably has a cost consequence but the option is given none-the-less.

Q: Does Rocket Science work evenings and weekends?

A: Yes we do because some of our clients do too. If there is a job to be done, Rocket Science will deliver. Regardless of time scales involved, if it is physically achievable it will be done.

Q: Do you only work within the UK market?

A: Rocket Science has no geographic boundaries. We have worked with clients and suppliers both in the UK and abroad – specifically Africa, Spain & China. Of course a client visit takes a little longer in some cases.

Q: Is there a menu of costs for the services offered?

A: Usually, jobs are priced subject to the client brief provided. However, ongoing work of a repetitive nature does generally get fixed costs applied that assist all parties in future costing exercises and budget setting.

Q: What is CMYK and what does it mean?

A: CMYK are process colors of printing - Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Key (Black).

Q: How did you come up with the name Rocket Science?

A: We wanted a name that people couldn't help but use in everyday conversation AND reassured clients that we knew our business inside out. So Rocket Science it was. What to some might seem a minefield of financial exposure and technical doublespeak is to us very clear and simple. What we offer isn't Rocket Science if you see what we mean. It only looks like it to the untrained eye.

Q: Why should I choose Rocket Science?

A: Because we are different. We see our clients as the people they really are, not employees. We work hard to understand their organization, their markets, their products and their ambition. Once we have that knowledge we produce work of absolute quality, on time, on budget and with creative standout. Ask our clients. We will happily let you speak to them.

Q: Why choose to be based in London?

A: There is unbelievable talent working as our neighbours. Because there are multiple options for every service we require all around us it makes our job a lot easier and our product a lot better.

Q: What is the difference between Rights Managed and Royalty Free imagery?

A: In monetary terms, it can be quite a lot. Rights Managed and Royalty Free images are digital image files offered for sale on web based image libraries. They are commonly used when creative circumstances do not allow for commissioned photography. Rights Managed refers to images that require a usage fee to be negotiated with the library based on the intended use of the image i.e. how long and how frequently an image will be displayed for, where it will be displayed and at what size. Costs therefore can be variable and sometimes considerable. Royalty Free images have a fixed cost attached regardless of intended usage and are therefore easy to budget for and are commonly much less expensive than Rights Managed images.
